The 10-yuan note dated 1969 is a Bank of Taiwan note bearing the portrait of Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Republic of China. The back shows Chung-Shan Hall on Yangmingshan.
Chung-Shan Hall on Yangmingshan near Taipei was built in 1966 for Sun Yat-sen’s centenary, and until 2005 it housed the sessions of the National Assembly.
Bank of Taiwan notes circulated until 30 June 2002, after which they were exchanged for Central Bank money.
In a Taiwan collection the note pairs with the 5 yuan of the same year 1969 and carries on the Chung-Shan Hall theme, which later reappears on the 50 yuan of 1972. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
